Lemon Whipped Cream
Description

This lemon whipped cream tastes heavenly when made with the sweet lemons of Sorrento.  Whenever we host our Amalfi Coast trip I make sure to include this recipe. It is still excellent with good quality lemons found in your area.

Lemon whipped cream goes well with desserts such as the Almond Pine Nut Tart.

 

Ingredients

1 cup heavy whipping cream
¼ cup sugar
Zest of 1 large lemon, grated
Juice of 1 large lemon
¼ cup brandy
Methods/steps

Using a powerful mixer, whip cream in a cold bowl. Increase speed slowly.  Keep whipping while gradually adding sugar, lemon zest, and then brandy. Add lemon juice and keep whipping, just until mixture holds its shape. This cream is best if served within an hour or two.  If not serving immediately, keep refrigerated until serving.
